Well, 5 stars is a bit lofty for a "technician" that has been all but discredited recently in the California court system. Santa Maria, CA, Friday, September 12, 2008 where Mr. Burgess appeared before the court and an Agent Shea took Burgess to the "wood shed" on just about everything he claimed to be an expert with. I am sure the transcript is out there for your reading pleasure. It's a shame when someone can buy and EnCase dongle, take a couple of courses (except anything offered by Guidance), make a YouTube video or two and is now an "expert". Furthermore, several of the points Mr. Burgess makes in this video are NOT technically or completely correct. In fact, at least one is completely incorrect. The forensic community needs to be more diligent when considering someone an "expert".
