My client, a global e-Discovery Consulting organisation, is seeking a technician with broad IT skills and investigation experience in complex data analysis to work in their Tokyo office. A degree of experience in forensic data collection, processing and reporting is required. Experience of working within an e-Discovery environment is also highly desireable.

Tasks Include:-

Facilitation of daily forensic operations
Digital media imaging, verification and back up
Data searching, extraction, conversion and reporting

Requirements:-

Fluent in Japanese
At least 1 year experience in computer forensics and e-Discovery
Experience in digital media acquisition within Windows and DOS environments
Broad base of hardware and software skills

Desired Skills/Qualifications:-

Familiar with EnCase ( v5, v6, v7), FTK and other common forensic tools
Familiar with computer components ( with formal certification)
Expertise in current file system operations and artefacts
Forensic and/or IT security certification (EnCE, CCE, CFCE, CISSP, MCSE)
Knowledge of network topology and configuration, as well as firewall, VPN, network configuration and security


The successful candidate will typically work office hours subject to operational requirements
