Mac book air drive
Mac book air drive

Which kind of hard disk is in a Mac book air? I know it's a solid state. But hitachi or Toshiba? I need to buy the correct zif/ide adaptor

You should look into what model MBA you have. Older MBA's use ZIF and the newer MBA's use LIF sockets.

your best bet is macquisition as recommended earlier
each generation of mba has a different hard drive connector (i think), and its not worth the effort trying to keep up with the different converters.
Macquisiton is a bit pricey (1000 for LE, 1200 for the rest), but in my opinion its worth the expense.
It allows you to boot into a live cd and take an image quickly and easily.

does nbcaine work on mba's? other live cds have driver issues with some macs
