Key responsibilities/deliverables are:
- IT infrastructure, including the internal support and future development of systems, maintaining service efficiency and the minimisation of downtime is critical
- Personal responsibility for IT security, risk management and managing all IT related projects
- Management of the company’s relationship with its outsourced service suppliers, ensuring that service levels are achieved, and that enhancements are introduced as appropriate
- Ensuring that all business systems users (approximately 80) are using the resources appropriately and that training is prescribed and implemented when needed
- Define and document all key business processes, ensuring that wherever possible that such processes are computerised, implemented and adhered to
- Responsibility for business continuity in terms of IT failure
- Develop an ongoing IT strategy to meet the demands of a rapidly developing Group
The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum 2 years IT management experience
- Be able to demonstrate track record of IT services management in a time-critical and fast moving business
- Have experience of team working in a fast moving, commercial office environment
- Previously been responsible for the maintenance and development of company hardware, network and software platforms
- Be experienced in systems management, back up and data recovery
- Have experience of managing the implementation of new software applications and introducing new business solutions through the use of IT
- Evidence management under conditions of change
- Have successful experience of network design and IT technologies, together with knowledge of legacy systems and migration techniques
Personal qualities will include:
- A high level of numeracy and IT skills
- Effective communicator, committed team player with interpersonal skills to handle a wide range of project/customer issues
- Sound intellect, strong business analytical skills
- An understanding of the basic principles of Project Management
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (servers, workstations and MS Exchange email) and thin client deployment (terminal services, Citrix and web based)
- Degree level and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) qualification
