CF Graduate looking to break into the Data Recovery Industry
CF Graduate looking to break into the Data Recovery Industry
Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2012 4:35 pm
I am a Computer Forensic Graduate who recently graduated from the University of Glamorgan. I am looking to break into the Data Recovery Industry and would like to know if anyone could offer me advice on any Data Recovery courses available within the UK.
If anybody within the industry knows of any organizations that offer Data Recovery graduate schemes / trainee vacancies, I would be most grateful for your help.
Thank you

Data recovery courses in the UK happen very infrequently. If you want training on the latest tools, such as PC3000, you typically have to go to Russia.
There's only a handful of people in the UK that do DR well enough to matter.
I used to work at Disklabs. It might be worth hitting them up.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. That is what I feared people might say.
One of the owners of disk labs viewed my profile on linked in. I decided to send my CV and cover letter across to him but as of yet have heard nothing.
I really appreciate your help.

Who was it? Must be Simon. If so, tell him Lee Whitfield sent you his way. I left on good terms so should help you.

The gentleman's name was Matthew Jones. Unfortunately I cannot contact him directly through LinkedIn as It requires me to upgrade my account. I had to send my CV / Cover letter via recorded delivery.
