Deepspar Vs Atola Insight

Post Posted: Sun Jan 27, 2013 2:40 am

I am currently confused on what to buy as an imaging device in my data recovery lab, the well known deepspar or the powerful Atola Insight?

Pros and Cons...??

Thanks.

How this applies to CF work?

This topic is best served in a data recovery forum.

CopyRight,

I am responsible for Atola Insight development and can answer any questions about the product.

By the way, we're going to release Atola Insight 3.0 in few days. Overtaking the event, I can share a shortened feature list of the new version with you.

Atola Insight 3.0 new features:

- Revamped and improved user interface with Source & Target ports.
- Ability to run different operations on source and target ports simultaneously.
- Fast analysis of file signatures during imaging.
- MD5, SHA (1 - 512) checksum calculation speed increased.
- New Unclip HPA/DCO operation that automatically clears any settings in HPA and DCO.
- New Imaging setting: "Limit target disk size to source size using HPA".
- Disk reading speed in File Recovery increased.
- GPT partitions support for ext2/3/4 in File Recovery and Imaging.
- File Recovery: list creation of files which sectors were copied by Read Long command.
- Recovery dates saved after performing File Recovery.
- Terminal history is saved in a device case history now.
- HDD write speed increased for all operations.
- Fill or Erase can also be performed on sectors that were not copied during Imaging.
- More than 100 bug fixes.

Additionally, you may take a look at Atola Insight 3.0 home screen picture published on Twitter.

Atola Insight and Imager pricing remains the same: Pricing page

Atola Insight 3.0 release is just a large software update, and it doesn't influence the pricing anyhow.
