KEY REQUIREMENTS
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
You must undergo a pre-employment security investigation.
You may be required to take a drug test.
DUTIES:
This position is established as a Digital Investigative Analyst in the High Technology Investigative Unit (HTIU) located within CEOS. As an experienced computer forensics operative, the incumbent conducts and provides advice concerning computer forensic investigations of various types and complexities. Uses extensive networking and forensic knowledge to assist in the forensic analysis of computer systems in Internet technologies. Assists prosecutors and agents in determining the identity and intent of child exploitation offenders by analyzing seized computer systems and data, suggesting investigative avenues and providing technical support. Assists attorneys on the preparation of case material on digital evidence issues. Testifies as an expert witness and provides other digital investigative analysis and technical assistance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify at the GS- 13 level, applicants must demonstrate one of the qualifications as listed below:
A. Individuals must possess one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 Federal grade level. Examples of specialized experience inlcude:
Advanced skill with industry standard forensic software such as Access Data Forensic Tool Kit and Guidance Software EnCase applications; Use innovative digital investigative analysis methods; Conducts and collaborates investigations of highly sensitive, complex and difficult nature.
You must submit a complete application package; Resume, Occupational Questionnaire, and applicable supporting documents (See "How To Apply).
You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement
All male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must have registered for the selective service (see www.sss.gov). If selected for this position, the applicant must sign a statement certifying his registration, or the applicant must demonstrate exempt status under the Selective Service Law.
DIRECT DEPOSIT: All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choosing.
