The Department of Information Assurance & Technology seeks a full-time Instructor in the for the 2013-2014 academic year. The primary responsibility for this position will be undergraduate face-to-face instruction in one or more of the following areas: computer and digital forensics, information assurance, cyber security, and networking. Small class sizes optimize instructor-student interaction; hands-on activities help translate theory into practice. The College is entrepreneurial and market driven and academic programs respond to industry trends. Consequently, the College particularly values current industry and other “real world” experience for its faculty and students.

The typical teaching load is four courses per semester. Other responsibilities may include course development, student advising, student worker/lab supervision, student team/project supervision, and service to support the mission of the department, division, and college.

The ideal candidate will have a proven teaching record, industry experience and an advanced degree in a relevant field. Minimum requirements are: a B.S. in a related field combined with industry experience in forensics and/or networking and security.

The successful candidate will be able to help build intercultural understanding and demonstrate multicultural perspectives that can foster a diverse and inclusive community both inside and outside of the classroom.
