Hello,
I have received an MTK based Android phone which was totally damaged. The condition was so bad that chip-off was the only solution. I did that and read the Hynix flash of 528 MB perfectly.

I have UFED PA. Unfortunately, it is not able to decode it. I am not a script writer so I can't do much on this.

Can someone guide me how can I recover and mount the android partitions so that I can recover the db files?

Thanks
Adnan

Hi Adnan,

Just sent you an email how to use UFED Physical Analyzer to decode your extraction.

You should use "Open Advanced" and locate the MTK Android chain.
Then select "Physical – MTK Generic"
Then select NAND and point to the extraction bin file

You will get the file system reconstructed and the databases decoded.

Best regards,

Hey,

no offence at all, please don't get me wrong. But I really wonder why you keep answering public questions via PM instead of putting your valuable knowledge in the forums for everybody?
Would be great participating from peoples experience in a mutual way, was this not the original thought with platforms like this?

Best,
Ben

Ben,

If you look again at my reply, I did include the answer.

In the email that I sent to Adnan it included some guiding screenshots that cannot be inserted to the form post.

Other few cases that a help reply was posted as a private message was when I still wanted to help but without exposing a capability that is not supposed to be exposed yet. I am sure you can understand.

Best regards,
Ron Serber

Thanks Everyone for your reply.

As I am having some payment issues for the license renewal I can't get hold of the latest PA. Support have also decoded it using the latest one. But as I have 3.9.2.4 version I am unable to decode for some reason.
I have tried both the methods provided by Rons and supportbut it seems there is an issue with this version of PA.
As I resolve the payment issue, I wanted to know the method how can I rebuild the partitions of android?

You can use FTK Imager.
