Has anyone had any success in extracting a Samsung Galaxy Express 2 which is locked with a password? Not a PIN or pattern.

No support for it on Cellebrite, XRY or Oxygen.

Have tried using similar model profiles as the Express 1 is supported on Cellebrite but no luck. Have also tried the old workarounds to get past the lock screen by using the quick hack of emergency contacts/home/power/home combination with no success…

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Have a look at the BST dongle which used a modem based exploit whilst the phone is on.

Once you have extracted the password files you will then need something to crack it using the hash and the salt.

BST can be used to remove the passcode on some samsungs if you do not have the tools or power to crack

Lexdroid,

One of our development team just advised me to tell you that you can do this phone using an alternative profile in XRY.

The suggestion is to use the Samsung i545 profile with the yellow MicroUSB2 cable as a physical extraction.

They just dumped one here (8GB) to check and it looks valid even when locked with a password.
