Tried to extract contents of this phone but UFED is telling me " Not enough space is available on the source device for UFED Touch to operate, client cannot be loaded"

I am trying it on Lantern also but doesn't seem to be working either. Anyone ran across this and was able to find a work around.

Thanks in advance.

The UFED Touch is trying to install a data extraction software client onto the device, however there is not enough internal storage. You can avoid the use of a client by alternatively doing a physical acquisition (if supported) or sometimes it is possible to direct the client at an external Micro SD which may be inserted in the handset?

I'm having the same trouble with two cellphones Motorola XT1032 Moto G. They both have about 400 MB free space on the internal storage, and about 400 MB free space on the RAM too. There is no slot for an SD card, so it is not possible to load the forensic client from an SD card. The error message is always the same "No enough space is available on the source device for UFED Touch to operate. UFED Touch forensic client cannot be loaded."

One phone is running Android 4.4.2 and the other is running 4.4.4

I activated the USB Debug mode. I activated MTP transfer mode.
I deactivated the "verify apps via USB" on the 4.4.2 phone, but I cannot do it on the 4.4.4 phone. It is somehow linked to the USB debug mode…

I tried to reboot the phones many times, I also tried with the SIM card inserted… I always get the same error message… Oh, and "logical extraction" is the only option I have with this phone…

Any ideas?? Thanks!

Hello!!

Try using XRY Android generic profile for the logical acquisition. This should help you.
