Graduation is in a couple weeks. My focus is going to be on mobile phone forensics, most specifically cyberbullying cases. I will need to mostly extract deleted text messages as well as photos and other messaging app files.

Right now I'm leaning toward MPE+ from Access Data. What do you all think of this program and what are your suggestions?

I'm currently training on FTK Imager, and think I might look into the FTK program when I'm done. Is there any other mobile forensic programs I should be looking at?

I've checked out the following as well.

Oxygen Forensics
MOBILedit
Smartphone Recovery Pro (Not really a forensics program)
Cellbrite

Thoughts?

Please consider Lantern 4 as a viable software solution for your mobile forensics needs. Lantern is used worldwide by many international, federal, state, and local agencies and the private sector. You can request a demo today at https://katanaforensics.com/support/demo-request/.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm reviewing that one as well now. Do they have a PC version of is it strictly Apple?

We do not have a PC version, our product only runs on Mac. Please feel free to look at our YouTube channel for Katana Forensics to view our Lantern product in order to get an idea of how Lantern performs. Remember Lantern 4 does iOS, android, Mac OSX, call detail records, and gives you link analysis all at a very low price.

You may also want to try Device Seizure. You can take the DS Challenge and get a full license for 30 days to see how it works for you https://www.paraben.com/challenge.php
