Dear All,

I wonder if anyone experienced similar/same problem as mine

So I used FTK 5.4.0.37 x64. Within the the E01 there were few .PST files. The entire E01 was processed ok, however when I selected to create a html report from the emails that I bookmarked I could not see those emails in html format as the attachments to the report.

I followed manually all links inside the report and all files/attachments were of 2-3 kb of size and kind of empty. Some of the contained within the code subject etc.. but only viewable if opened in notepad. Normal html browsers see those files as empty.

Normally, every email should be converted into a html format and added as a attachment to the report. I am not talking about email attachments, they are included fine in a native format.

Has anyone experienced any similar problems with FTK and report attachments, from emails in particular?

I haven't encountered this particular issue in my environment, but I have a few quick questions to throw out to you in hopes that I can help.

1. When you open the email(s) in question with notepad, does it have the appropriate HTML structure, or missing a header, or just plane garble in places?

2. Is there any commonalities among the emails in question in where they are located in the PST? (draft, deleted etc.)

3. Does this happen to the same exact emails when you process the case a second time, or is it more random on which ones show the problem?
