EnCase Copy Folders/Copy Files Troubleshoot

Currently working to export files from Encase (v7.10.03) using the copy folders/copy files. The source data is a 256GB SSD loaded with Windows 7. It has been fully imaged using EnCase. No case processing has been complete on the data. The target data is a folder on the desktop that contains a number of different files including .pdf, .doc, .jpg, and a number of other media files totaling about 13Gb.

I have attempted to copy folder/copy files on the folder, a sub folder, files with a subfolder, and files within the parent folder using the default options in EnCase with the copy files/ copy folder utility. Once selecting OK, the window closes and nothing else. If I export a folder, one will be created in the destination directory, but no contents.

Am I missing a step, or is there an error that I'm not receiving?

I have researched this, but there is only demonstrations of how to complete the copy files/folders process. The demonstration seems to generate a summary window which I have yet to receive.

Did you check the console for any messages? There's usually nothing, but give it a shot.

Did you try exporting fewer files in one batch? I've never tried with more than a couple hundred files at once.

Have you called Guidance for support?

You will need to use the "blue-checks" in addition to the copy folders/files commands to get what you seem to be after.

In regards to a summary window, there is none in v7 unless they made a very recent update. The progress bar will keep you apprised of ongoing processing, and when it is done the information is recorded in either the console, Log Records tab, or both (can't remember at the moment).

If this does not prove to be the case, please feel free to share.

Thanks,
