I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.3 which is showing the 'iPhone disabled connect to iTunes' screen.

I have an IP box and the Cellebrite tool which I think only supports up to iOS 8.1 at the moment, but assuming that catches up at some point is anyone aware of a method to kick the iPhone out of disabled mode so I can get to the screen to enter the PIN code?

As far as I know when the phone is in this disabled stage the PIN numbers that these tools will be sending to the phone won't actually be effective in unlocking the phone.

If power down and on by holding the 'home button' for min. 10 secs. does not bring to the 'just' connect iTunes leads you to a result, you may try to test on a similar test lab phone with the iOS from ipsw.me (all iOS versions incl. history ) how it behaves.

To push the device from 'disabled' to just 'connect iTunes' is your goal to crackdown with Cellebrite.

Give it a try

As far as I know this stopped working with iOS Versions newer than 8.1.

In iOS 8 you even need to cut the power after an attempt, thats probably why the UFED Unlock Tool only supports iOS 7.

Regarding the self destruction after 10 attempts, I have tested it with MFC Dongle and it triggered the deletion process when it was enabled in the settings.

This method is pretty much useless these days because iOS devices usually run a fairly new iOS version.
