Hello everybody,

When somebody turns on this mobile phone, before entering the PIN number AND the unlocking pattern, is it possible to recieve some WhatsApp messages or even notifications from another apps or it is not possible because the data conexion (3G, 4G or whatever) has not been activated yet?

My question is about if it is possible to turn on a phone without accessing it and, when you turn off and turn on it again (but now you access it by entering the PIN and the unlocking pattern), you can see some messages recieved when the phone had not been accessed.

Thanks!!

Alot of samsungs will renotify you of unread messages upon power up, is this what you are referring to?
Or do you mean an actual message comes through to a locked handset , if its within range of a wifi signal it has access to and is allowed to connect and get internet via its possible a message may get delivered on some handsets you wouldn't be able to read them until its unlocked.

Thats the case with alot of handsets they will connect to the internet via wifi even before a code is entered.

Thaks for your answer.

What I mean if a Galaxy S2 can recieve a WhatsApp message (or whatever) having been turned on but having not been accessed (by entering PIN number AND unlocking pattern/code).

Thanks.

The device needs an internet connection in order to receive new messages. As far as I know the pattern lock doesn't matter regarding this. But if you haven't entered the PIN for the SIM card, it cannot connect to the mobile network.
So the answer would be no, it cannot receive new data. Unless it is near a known wifi network.
