You can use RIFF BOX (with LG support activation) for making a memory dump of the phone. After that, you will be able to recover deleted data and files from the dump.

And of course, you can use chip-off for doing it.

How is it detected by OS? Some newer models jump into Qualcomm MMC Storage mode once you try to enter download mode (volume+ and plug usb cable) and if you have that, you can use anything to make a dump. You may also try to use that method to force MMC Storage mode as well http//forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/general/unbrick-lg-l7-ii-single-dual-t3166282 (this - first post, up to the part with eMMC RAW Tool which you shouldn't use - actually doesn't flash the device, it only sends a loader to switch from 9008 to 9006 mode so no worries about the data).

If that won't work, either JTAG (RIFF and z3x both supports it, Medusa probably does too) or chip-off as i don't see ISP pinout anywhere.

@Igor_Michailov, i assume you meant z3x (with LG activation) since RIFF doesn't really have such activation. Sadly, z3x LG doesn't not support "firmware maker" feature for that model. I believe that method they're using works only on phones one generation above this one and newer (with G5 included, from what i saw).

Please check if the phone is able to enter recovery or download mode, and if it was rooted or not ?! This should be possible even if the phone is not booting in normal mode.

With a little luck you could make a copy of /data to an inserted microSD card or an OTG cable connected pendrive, with some more luck you could image with dd the whole partition mounted under /data, creating this way a physical dump, which you could analyze later on with your favorite software.

With no luck… you have nothing to loose, booting recovery or download modes is harmless, but be very careful of what you do if you succeed entering any of these modes! ) Do not make any mistakes, it could lead to total data loss!

Let us know about the results.
