Easy, the key could be extracted even the phone is NOT rooted.
Use this tool, just put USB debbuging enable on the device and execute RUN
http//www.mediafire.com/download/pm6yp9b52py5akg/keyextracttool-for-windows.zip

You have the key now )

Also, you could use my own python script to decode crypt8, just PM

Hi
Thanks for the reply but the phone is locked. It has an android pattern lock and we do not know the gmail ID and password to reset it. And USB Debugging is not enabled. So can you a suggest a way ? I am trying to do the JTAG Extraction if possible but do you have a knowledge on how to carve android pattern lock using JTAG ?

The password (password.key) or pattern (gesture.key) file is in the userdata partition.
Depends on your case but it is possible to replace the recovery partition with a custom build one, mount the userdata partition and remove these keys.
With the files removed you can access the device. Maybe not the best forensic solution, but it works.
So you have a copy of the data on the SD card but no copy of the phone?

You could extract pattern key and crack the password, takes few seconds.
Many tools for that online

regards.
