I wanted to thank my colleagues here at ForensicFocus for helping my practice this year and specifically helping several of my clients, who were in significant danger, get safe.

Me and my Domestic Violence clients have received significant help from experts in China, Italy, Russia, U.K. and even other states here in the U.S. This has been a very humbling experience to me to receive so much significant help from strangers.

In the U.S., people can sometimes become polarized, in part by information provided to us by the media; some of us are portrayed to be living in "Red" states and others living in "Blue" states according to political pundits; I personally have friends and family cutting across all such boundaries and refuse to by defined, or define others, by a single label.

Does anyone have any theories on why or what aspect of our profession allows us to cut across, in a very positive manner, geographical and political lines to help each other as I witness here regularly?

My own theory is that forensics allows us to help innocent people become safe, which is most gratifying personally and professionally, and that this is a universal desire for us.

What do you think?

Sure -

I have received expert help from

Jaclaz (Italy)
gorvq7222 (Taiwan)
Rampage (Italy)
hcso1510 (U.S.)
Belkasoft (Russia)
ChimeraTool (China)

My Domestic Violence cases typically involve the respondent "stalking" my client via unwanted text messages, phone calls and text messages.

In one case, the respondent (a man) had been stalking my client for over two years with unwanted contact via "spoofed" telephone calls, emails and text messages. The man was wealthy and owned his own company.

I was able to forensically preserve my client's phone (Nokia Lumia 710) and extract text messages and call logs with help from user Rampage and the support people at ChimeraTool.

hsco1510 was able to provide guidance on how to deal with the "spoofed" calls my client and her attorney were receiving.

The man has been arrested and is in Federal custody now; my client was able to move on with her life, get engaged and married.

So, with help from China, Italy and the U.S., my client is now safe.
