Starting Salary: Starting salary of £32,956 plus London weighting (£3,162) where applicable. We are able to match salaries of current Civil Servants up to £37,904.

Join SOCA as a Senior Officer – Digital Forensics, Cyber & Forensics and you’ll help to stamp out everything from Class A drugs and major gun crime and from people smuggling and human trafficking to fraud, computer crime and money laundering.
Serious crime has evolved along with technology and it will be your role to manage / supervise a team that investigates technology enabled crime. As an expert in your field you’ll offer advice and guidance on digital forensic examination opportunities and apply your knowledge to leading on associated agency tasked operations. Nothing can be missed, so you’ll make sure all investigations are meticulous in approach and totally compliant on every level.
It’s a role that will mean you’ll have undergone extensive training – EnCase Advanced training, Shrivenham Forensic Computer training and second forensic tool training (or their equivalents) are a must. We’ll also expect you to operate in accordance with ACPO best practice guidance and have a good understanding of relevant legislation. Additionally, previous experience in collating and analysing evidence from digital devices are a given – as are supervising a team and presenting evidence in court. Owing to the specialist nature of your work, you’ll be required to travel nationally and internationally as needed.
