I am a third year university student performing an investigation on browsing activity. If you have time, would you mind answering the questions below as part of the requirements elicitation. Thanks in advance.

If you answer yes to question 2, please ignore questions 8 and 9.
If you answer no to question 2, please ignore questions 3-7 and jump straight to number 8.

1. Which browser do you use the most?
2. Have you ever performed an investigation on browsing activity yourself?
3. What Information were you able to find?
4. Can you identify file locations of the artefacts you found?
5. Was there any information you were hoping to find or would like to have found that you were unable to? i.e. is there any additional information you would have found beneficial?
6. What tools or software did you use to perform the investigation?
7. What was your opinion of the software used? Would you recommend using it?
8. What do you know about browsing activity investigations? i.e. what software is used, where files are normally located, why browsing investigations are performed?
9. What files or information do you think would be beneficial to the investigator with regards to browsing activity?
10. Is there anything else you can think of that will be beneficial?  

With the greatest of respect, do you think that busy professionals are likely to answer a laundry list of questions (especially ones which are so broad)? If you've got one specific issue you're looking for input on then that's fine but please consider the audience you're addressing.

I don't mean the above harshly, just asking that you reconsider your approach.

I appreciate what your saying but at the moment the majority of results I have are from people who haven't performed browsing activity investigations themselves so I am just looking to get some responses from professionals who are more likely to have performed these experiments and have useful information to offer.

Do you think this post would be better suited to another area of the forum?  

Understood. It's not that the questions would be better asked elsewhere, just that you're probably asking too much of the audience you're trying to target.

I don't think there's a straightforward solution to this, and although one or two members may be happy to respond, broadly speaking this isn't the best environment for addressing so many questions of such a broad nature to experienced examiners whose time is already limited.

Not having a go at you, I understand your motivation and support what you're trying to do, I'm just suggesting there may be a better approach (although I'm not sure what it is!)
