I am attempting a physical acquisition on a Samsung Galaxy S3, model SPH-L710 (CDMA). It has Qualcomm secureboot enabled and I have been unsuccessful in gaining root access. I have reveiwed numerous forums and it appears the Qualcomm secureboot is the issue. I have tried Odin3 to flash memory, but did not work. Anyone had any luck bypassing the Qualcomm secureboot to gain root without losing the user created data? I need to examine device for deleted text messages. I am using Cellebrite Touch UFED with physical acquisiton capability. I have also tried MPE+, but same issue with not being at root level.
I would suggest to perform a JTAG extraction for this model that indeed there is no other available solution.
