Hello Dear!
Having gone through the lists of research topic given to me in this forum, I have decided to work on this topic
Identifying various types of DDoS attacks from capture files (pcap) extracting attack statistics, list of attacking bots, determining the type of attack (TCP SYN flood, UDP/ICMP flood, HTTP GET/POST flood, HTTP flood with browser emulation, etc).
Meanwhile, i have studied the different kind of DDOS attacks and the security measures to avert this attacks/threat. but i haven't laid hands on any capture file indicating this kind of attacks.
I will be grateful if necessary guidelines and materials is afford to me to begin while I am still looking on the net and library for more information.
best regards!
