I have got an iphone 4s a1387. It is locked by a pin. There's a method to bypass it?
thanks in advance
Hi,
The only known way of bypassing the pin on a iPhone 4S is by using a lockdown plist file. You can find it on the PC/Mac that was used in synchronizing the device. On a Windows PC the lockdown plist file is located in this directory C\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown
Check your forensic software on where to put the plist before attempting to extract data.

OK, thanks for your answer. This is not our situation. The man had the iphone in his hand, activate the pin and then give back the phone to the owner.
thanks
If the handset has iOS 7 on it you could crack it with the IP box
The IP Box will also work on iOS 8, we tested a lab device last week. Please be aware when using this box, that if the user has set the 'erase iPhone after 10 failed attempts' option, you will lose all the data if more than 10 attempts are made.
I thinking to a flasher box too. Actually we don't know which version of iOS is installed. There's a way to detect it?
The use of a IP box, is "forensically sound"?
thanks

10 option is not a lot. The use of IP box is the last chance we have?
I think I will analyze the mac for first…
thanks
