Jailbreaks for ios 8.2 and below devices are available. Just trying to confirm that any possible way to jailbreak ios 8.3 exists or not.

It is my understanding that only beta versions of iOS 8.2 could be successfully jailbroken. Release versions of iOS remain unjailbreakable since iOS 8.1.3, which includes final versions of iOS 8.2 and 8.3. The Pangu "semi-jailbreak" is reported to be a fake. The http//taig8.net/ looks extremely dubious, and is likely a fake as well. One security researcher was reportedly able to jailbreak iOS 8.3; however, he didn't publish any details, preferring to "keep it for himself".

In other words, the answer to your question is "no", iOS 8.3 cannot be jailbroken at this time.

Reportedly, a jailbreak exists for iOS 8.3 and 8.4 Beta. It has not been released to the public though. So *manually* jailbraking a 8.3 device is at least theoretically possible.

Which iOS device exactly do you have? Open source tools do exist, but as far as I know they only support very old devices (up to and including iPhone 4, but not the 4S, 5 or 5C). Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit https://www.elcomsoft.com/eift.html is not free nor open source, but it can acquire jailbroken iPhone 4S, 5 and 5C (but not the 5S, 6 or 6 Plus).

Thanks for the information , v.katalov..

@skswati you can contact Oxygen Forensics , i believe they can image the latest iOS devices . Although its not an open source tool, but the'll provide a demo / evaluation version for you to try it out.

Similar situation here. iPhone 4S running iOS 8.3.

I did the Jailbreak, installed OpenSSH and I can successfully SSH into the iPhone and recover emails and stuff with SFTP.

I have a CEllebrite UFED with Physical Analyzer, but I can't get it to show me "Method 3" for the advanced logical extraction (for Jailbroken devices).

Is there a way, once the device is jailbroken, to use Cellebrite PA to perform the extraction of data, including emails?

Thanks.

It is my understanding that email extraction is possible ONLY if the device is jailbroken. I have not done it yet, but if you have PA, (and since you have a jailbroken device) contact Cellebrite and see if they have the steps for you.
