Hello,

My client's Facebook account was taken over by her ex and now we need to recover ownership of the account.

My client and her ex shared passwords, which is how the ex was able to access her Facebook account. The ex has changed the Facebook password and security questions to ones only he knows. I have been informed that, subsequent to taking over my client's Facebook account and changing the password and security questions, the ex has sent out pictures and messages from my client's Facebook account that include *personal* content.

So, I am looking for help or advice with contacting the correct person or department within Facebook to recover the account for my client. I have looked through Facebook using my own account but cannot find a contact number or even an email address. I did find this page https://www.facebook.com/security.

If anyone works at Facebook here in the security department, or can point me to the correct contact, please PM me.

My client is available to call Facebook and provide personal identification information sufficient to prove the account is hers.

Assuming my client can recover ownership of her Facebook account, I plan on preserving her account (https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=account > "Download a copy of your Facebook data."). The archive should then contain "All stored active sessions, including date, time, device, IP address, machine cookie and browser information." in the "Active Sessions" section.

The ex is in a geographically different location than my client, so I am hoping the IP addresses will show his IP address logging in on the dates the *personal* information was sent out to my client's contacts.

I am not LE, but my client has engaged legal counsel.

Thanks for pointing me to any direct contacts at Facebook I might start with.
