Hi everyone,

Forensic Focus has recently run a few Twitter chats on digital forensics related subjects. We're planning to do this on a regular basis and wanted to ask for your feedback - do you have any suggestions for topics you'd like to see covered?

The chats run under the hashtag #dftalk and last for an hour. Anyone can join in by following @ForensicFocus on Twitter and answering the questions we post during the chats.

So far we've covered digital forensics careers, training & education, and encryption as broad subject areas.

Any other ideas? Feel free to post them here or email them to scar@forensicfocus.com

Software discussion. What are you using and for what? What are you moving away from?

Hardware discussion. What do you use for your workstations? Do you have shared machines for case processing (e.g. as supported by EnCase)? What do you use on the road?

Business discussion. How do you market yourself? How did you organize (LLC, S-Corp)? How much time do you spend at training/conferences? What do you charge?

Is there an industry shift away from "pure" DF roles into more multi-disciplinary roles (IR, eD, etc)?

Given the increasing volume of data being examined, is a more 'eD' approach to LE DF (i.e. the model where you have a dedicated server which 'ingests' the data and provides you with a pre-categorised output) inevitable?
