What sort of things are you interested in and do you have any skills in a particular area?

If you really want to do something useful with future do this:
Forensic analyses of communication applications on mobile devices incl. IOS and Android.
Plenty of work to do and there is not much out there, do some research about Wassup, Viber etc..
This is something CF community needs to look at.
But it is up to you if you like mobiles

Another source of ideas is on the Forensics Wiki - www.forensicswiki.org/...rch_Topics
It's also a little dated, but has some ideas.
The "hot" topics at our university are Cloud Computing, Smartphone forensics, Counter Forensics & Virtual Machines (e.g. traces left by VMs on the host system)
I'm currently pitching a project around smartphone geotagging forensics, hoping it gets approved

Hi,
Any idea what you have decided to focus on yet? I'm trying to decide myself, plenty of interesting areas that could have some interesting outputs given the right time devoted to the subject.
