Champlain College was one of the first, if not the first, to offer a dedicated digital forensics program in 2003. Since that time the programs have continued to evolve. The college places a strong emphasis on professional education, and to that end employs faculty who have real-world experience combined with relevant academic qualifications. Faculty teaching digital forensics courses have a range of experience from both the law enforcement and private sector, including the FBI, the State’s Attorney, police officers and corporate consultants.

36 credits (1.5 years full time)
Course description
The M.S. program in Digital Forensic Management is an online, 36-credit graduate program designed to create leaders in the profession of digital forensics. The program is a mix of digital forensic, management, legal and IT courses which provide students with the knowledge and skills required to lead a team of digital forensic analysts, build and manage a laboratory, understand the legal issues associated with both management and forensics, and gain an appreciation of business needs and processes.
The MS degree program in Digital Forensic Management has been developed for professionals already working in the field of digital forensics. Digital investigators, and others working in electronic or high-tech crime units, will be your classmates. As pioneers in this field, your fellow students — hailing from points all across the country — will have much to offer in terms of sharing experiences, advice and professional contacts.
