The Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Online (MACJ-Online) program is a 33-credit program that utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to address issues in the field of criminal justice. The goal is to instruct students in the basics of criminological theory and practice while offering a concentration in the fields of forensics or computer forensics.
Required Courses (12 credits)
CJ 501 - Advanced Criminology
CJ 502 - Research Methods and Evaluation
CJ 530 - Policing in America
CJ 506 - Issues in Criminal Law
Concentration Courses - Five (5) are required for a concentration in Computer Forensics
CJ 536 - Computer Forensics I: Investigation and Data Gathering
CJ 537 - Computer Forensics II: Imaging and Analysis
CJ 538 - Network Forensics - Conducting Investigations of Online Crimes
CJ 539 - Advanced Topics in Digital Forensics
CJ 540 - Digital Forensic Laboratory Planning and Accreditation
Elective Courses
CJ 541 - Crime and the Urban Landscape
CJ 542 - Crime and Addiction
CJ 550 - Practicum (optional; 3 credits)

Applicants pursuing a graduate degree
The Office of Graduate Admissions will consider your file complete upon receipt of the following:
1. Your completed Online Application for Admission and the $35 non-refundable application fee
2. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended. Transcripts should be forwarded to DeSales University's Graduate Admissions Office. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from previous institution(s) to DeSales University.
3. Completed Graduate Recommendation Form or Letter of Recommendation from three individuals who can attest to your academic ability and/or professional competence such as: previous/current supervisor, previous/current professor, or colleague.
4. A personal statement in which the applicant states his/her professional goals and how the program will assist in obtaining these goals (upload directly onto Application or mail hard copy to Office of Graduate Admissions)
Applicants not pursuing a degree (professional development purposes)
