Position Title: Computer Forensic Investigator
Position Location: Phoenix Area (Tempe)
Compensation: Depends On Experience
Hours: Full-Time
Responsibilities
· Conducts forensic investigations, forensic analysis, data recovery, imaging and electronic discovery of computers and other digital storage devices using established tools and techniques, both on-site and in-lab.
· Researches, plans, and executes the investigatory process including the solicitation of requisite materials and information obtained via interviews and other methods.
· Prepares and communicates investigatory reports for review.
· Consults with Investigators, Senior Executives, Attorneys and paralegals on each case.
· Follows established forensic operating procedures for the seizure, documentation of custody, and return of seized computers.
· Works with Director of Operations to continuously develop and refine the forensic investigation process.
· Researches, develops and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities.
· Present electronic investigation results, examination and analysis to clients.
· Assist with computer data culling, logical data recovery and electronic data extraction.
· Execute digital evidence examination, acquisition, restoration and preservation on all ranges of internal and external digital media.
· Conduct on-site data acquisition and duplication of live systems operating anywhere on network server(s) or personal computers.
· Provide expert witness testimony on behalf of clients.
Qualifications
· Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Employ industry standard techniques to enhance, recover, duplicate, preserve and analyze computer evidence.
· Observe proper evidence custody and control procedures, document findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepare comprehensive written reports.
· Understanding of network architectures, Windows and non-Windows based systems/networks.
· Experience providing court testimony, drafting affidavits and writing reports.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from a college or university with a focus in computer science. (Preferred)
· Minimum 3 years relevant work or professional experience.
· Must be certified as CFE and/or EnCE or obtain certification within six months of hire.
· Extensive experience with FTK and EnCase forensic software.
· Business travel may be required for this position to conduct onsite data collections, depositions, testimony preparation and appearances in court.
