Entry requirements
Entry requirements are usually 220 UCAS points from A levels or equivalent qualifications such as a BTEC National Diploma, Scottish Highers etc. Access/Foundation course qualifications are also accepted.

Entry requirements
You should have either:
- an Honours degree in Computing or a degree with substantial relevant content for this specialist discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification relevant to this specialist discipline, or
- an alternative award and/or experience considered to be of an equivalent standard to one of the above, plus
- have proficiency in English (IELTS 6.0/TOEFL 550-575 [PC213-232]).
Both courses include strong elements of Security (both practical and theoretical), Law (including an analysis of the UK judicial system - delivered by lecturers from the Law School), Forensic Science, Computer Forensics and digital investigation. Encase and FTK (full licences) are used as the standard investigation software.
The courses are supported by site visits, extraneous guest lecturers dedicated to the courses and incorporate the DISC initiative whereby 6 guest lectures a year - delivered by industry - are given on the subject of Forensics and Security.
