Course description
The Department of Criminology at the University of Madras offers the MSc course in Cyber Forensics and Information Security.
The Department of Criminology is located at the Chepauk campus of Madras University. Complete with a Geographical Information Systems Mapping Laboratory that features latest crime mapping and analysis systems, the Department of Criminology at the University of Madras has collaboration and exchange program with the Illinois State University, USA. The Department of Criminology library is stocked with a good collection of books, journals as well as reports on Criminology and allied sciences. MSc in Cyber Forensics and Information Security at Madras University is a new and innovative specialized program for those who wish to have a career in forensics and information security.
Admissions and entry requirements
For admission into MSc Cyber Forensics and Information Security, one needs to have a graduate degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Information Technology from Madras University or a recognized university. Alternatively, the candidate should have graduated in Forensic Science, Criminology or Law for getting entry into MSc in Cyber Forensics and Information Security. Candidates with previous experience in Information Technology, Network Security or Information Security are given preference over others.
