AFFIDAVIT FOR SEARCH WARRANT


I, Detective John Doe of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (hereinafter “Affiant,” “Detective Doe,” or denoted by the first person), hereby on my oath state there is probable cause to believe that Verizon Wireless, a corporation doing business in Tennessee with corporate headquarters located at 51 ImClone Drive Branchburg, New Jersey 08876, is now in possession and control of certain evidence of a crime, to wit: violations of state laws as set forth in Tennessee Code Annotated 39-51-402 Aggravated Child Abuse & Neglect. The evidence to be searched for is as follows.

1) Subscriber information and all stored electronic communications “sms text content” in the possession of Verizon Wireless relating to cellular telephone numbers (423) 123-4567, John Doe1, (423) 123-4567, JohN Doe2, (423) 123-4567, John Doe3 and the related account records, including but not limited to voice mails, text messages, customer notes, ESN, billing and financial records and complete call and text logs with cell site information to include, but not limited to cell-site tower locations and sectors relating to the above customer accounts between 00:01 AM on 7/17/2010 and 11:59 PM on 7/19/2010. The above information requested shall also apply to any Verizon Wireless accounts that may be identified or revealed from the search of the above target numbers. It is also requested you provide a current nationwide listing of all Verizon Wireless Cell sites to include physical address and Latitude/Longitude coordinates in an Excel spreadsheet or a commercially reasonable electronic format. It is also requested you supply a business records affidavit or suitable substitute to certify the authenticity of the records.

Therefore, considering the foregoing, your Affiant believes based upon his knowledge, training and experience that probable cause exists to believe evidence of violations of Tennessee Code Annotated 39-15-402 Aggravated Child Abuse & Neglect may be found within the records to be searched and may contain call records, statements and or text content which will be valuable in the successful prosecution of this case.
