Can anyone recommend a company in Eastern US to send a hard drive to to find pictures. My friend has alot of pictures of his granddaughter and doesnt want to lose them… Ive tried hooking up the drive to three different IDE cables and it's recognized in the BIOS, but not the O/S(all were XP Pro) Since I havent really learned the tools to recover this data yet, he is willing to pay to have those pictures recovered. Both of us live in Knoxville, TN. I think he said he is willing to pay $1000 or so to get those if need be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there was an easy way to search for this specific info or a listing I apologize.

Failure of a drive to be recognized can be caused by any of several issues, but they all require use of a recovery service.

Contact Larry Letourneau, of Data Retrieval Services,Inc, Clearwater, FL
727-797-6100
Larry is most likely the first ever data recovery specialist - he started in 1980. VERY good at getting data out of problem drives.

Cheers,

SDN
