I've been hunting for 'good' prices on new drives. I either try and buy drives ahead of time looking for deals at the local malls or online. Or I wait and try to get lower prices leaving me rushing to get drives when new jobs come in.

Has anyone found a good consistent supplier for drives in bulk. Personally we use PCProgress for all of our hardware when building machines but I have beat their drive prices at times.

Buy.com has a listing for a case of 20 200 gig seagates for about 122.00 US per drive but that is a bit too much outlay at one time.

anyone have a source that they like ?

HDD retail price changing frequently! It will save your time if your decision make to buy your need model and budget rather than spending time to look much outlets.

ZipZoomFly, strange name good prices. I've been dealing with them for a while with no problems.

Check bargain sites like http://www.bensbargains.com frequently.
I check it every evening before I close up for the day and when I see a bargain I snap it up.

Some recent deals I got:
Seagate 120GB $30 ($0.25/Gig)
Seagate 200GB $80 ($0.40/Gig)
Seagate 160GB $50 ($0.31/Gig)
Western Digital 160GB $30 ($0.19/Gig)!!!

Many of these deals are on Buy.com or Outpost.com.

How about HD enclosures? I have had good luck with Metal Gear but am open to other options and opinions.

Might want to check cooldrives.com for enclosures. They have some mighty appealing E-SATA drive cages and enclosures.
