Hey there, folks!

I'm a fourth year Computer Information Systems major and I'm looking to going into computer forensics when I get out of college. If all goes well, I will be graduating with my BS in Computer Information Systems from the Illinois Institute of Technology and my CCE from Kennesaw State. I am looking at going into some serious debt however to get my education finished, and I need some sort of idea of how hard it will be to get a job in computer forensics after graduation, and how much the average CCE makes. Where do I start looking? Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

CCE is just a few letters after your name, there is no average price just because you would have that designation. Unless you are looking on careerbuilder.com or monster, you will find that a lot of people prefer not to discuss how much they make a year and also that figure would vary greatly based on experience as opposed to by degree. Lots of places that are hiring now are looking for vendor specific classes in addition to the other qualities, so that may not be a bad place for you to look.

I would start with those two job engines and look at the hits that are there for computer forensics.

What about law enforcement agencies? Does the FBI, State Police, etc. usually take and train fresh graduates right out of college for this type of stuff, or should I be looking at IT jobs to get "experience" in the field before applying for real forensics jobs?

While some of the Law Enforcement agencies will hire examiners directly, in my experience most are cross trained after serving in other capacities. You could certainly go this route but you may be a few years getting into computer forensics.
