I can tell you that WriteBlockerXP, which is an LE-only tool, is reliable. https://www.acesle.org/. While I have not tried ForensicSoft's product, I do know its principal, Dan Dickerman, and would be very confident in using any tool that bore his name. Neither application now runs on 64, but SAFE Block should in an upcoming release.

I've been thinking for some time, are they reliable?

I'd ask how do you know that the hard ware write blockers you currently use are reliable? Not to be too harsh, but you need to run your own tests on any type of write blocker to be sure, rather than rely on the opinions of others. Perhaps the company you link to offer trial versions of software or refunds in the case of their product not working as advertised?

It's equally important to check your write blocking methodology to ensure you've set it up correctly. Even if the product is 100% reliable, you are not wink
