Good afternoon,

Would you like to join the beta team and test new features for a forensic toolkit designed for social media investigations?

This is an excellent way to learn about online digital investigations, cloud forensics, and current challenges in forensic computing. Whilst we can't offer payment, we will provide free commercial licences to the toolset, and your feedback will help shape the development of the system to benefit other investigators.

Please visit www.linkedinforensics.com and use the contact form to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Cath

Good evening,

I'm delighted to advise that version 1.4 of the LinkedIn Forensic Toolset (LIFT) is now available.

I've taken on board the feedback of nearly two hundred analysts from around the world and produced a much cleaner and simplified process flow for the software. The user is now presented with a W8 Metro style application screen that guides the user through the process of investigating a LinkedIn account. v1.4 includes support to automatically change the password for the account under investigation, capture Group posts/comments, and generate screen captures of profiles from both a public and private perspective. I've also overhauled the codebase to improve speed and stabillty under different Windows OSs.

Existing users can use the UPDATER to automate the upgrade process with a single click. If you would like to evaluate a fully functional version of the toolset, then please visit the website and follow the DOWNLOAD link www.linkedinforensics.com

I'm particularly keen to hear from computer forensics professionals that have experience in working with social media evidence - please drop me a line if you would like to become part of the Beta testing team, to try out new versions of this software (and other cool toys we have developed!) in exchange for some free licences for your labs -)

Kind regards,
Ross
