More often than not, people post about what an employer will ask you, but can you give me an idea of the kind of questions you should be asking an employer, or more specifically, what questions should you ask at the end of a LE interview?

The reason i'm asking, is that i've got an interview coming up for a DF role and i've previously had an interview with another LE agency and I was asking them about their caseload/toolset/training and they were very reluctant to give me any information. So I am wondering what kind of things I should be asking to get a better response?

Thanks in advance.

Ask about opportunities for training and advancement; overtime expectations; and travel.

You may also want to ask about the variety / makeup of the work. Some jobs, e.g. ICAC, mean you're looking at child porn all day. For a lot of people, that's not healthy. My old LEA had policies for rotating DF people in and out of CP to give you a mental health break whereas dedicated child abuse units may not do that. Also, CP is generally boring, repetitive work, whereas working a variety of matters gives you a variety of challenges which can make the work more enjoyable.

You may want to ask about their background, how did they get into the field. Connect on a personal level.
