lmao omg I need sleep. For every digital, replace with virtual.
I'm looking for legal cases involving virtual environments; everything from virtual applications/software to live systems.
Thanks for the catch.

Legal question
Does anybody know of any legal cases that involve virtual environments (i.e. suspect used virtual environment on physical workstation, et cetera). I tried searching through CaseLaw, CaseText, and Justia using various keywords, but I'm not having any luck --nor do I have the funds to subscribe to LexusNexus or WestLaw.
Appreciate your assistance.

Re: Legal question
you could try the Nat. Institute of Justice site. www.nij.gov May or may not have anything to point you in the right direction.

Oooh I found one through Google Scholar.

Malibu has accused Doe of copyright infringement, downloading movies through bittorrent. They were able to track Doe through his IP address, but could were unable to produce evidence on his HDD; however they did find remnants of a virtual environment.
