Incident Response/ Digital Forensic Consultant

7Safe, a PA Group company, is looking for a talented and experienced individual who is capable of leading incident response & forensic investigations. You will work towards delivering 7Safe’s incident nationally accredited cyber courses. The role will include technical research and development to enhance the cyber response team offering, providing informal training, guidance and advice to colleagues. We are willing to consider applications from candidates who do not meet all the below criteria but that can prove their ability to quickly build their knowledgebase in the absent areas.

Job Requirements

A minimum of six years’ experience in incident response and/or digital forensics
Comprehensive understanding of the principles of incident response and forensic investigations on all main operating systems and network environments
Excellent communication skills with proven experience of developing and training others
Proven experience using incident response and forensic tools and techniques, such as PowerShell and WMI, X-Ways and Volatility
A suitable university degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of script languages such as Python desirable

Position Requirements:
Ability to meet tight deadlines, working under pressure on complex assignments
Must be able to work unsupervised and develop ad-hoc solutions to overcome operational issues when deployed on investigations
Will be based on a daily basis in south Cambridgeshire, must be willing to travel at short notice to sites in the UK and abroad
Must be able to pass the DBS and SC vetting requirements. Any holders of DV clearance can have their vetting transferred.
