Hi Everyone,

I perform iOS extraction on several devices (see below) trying to find the list of model's window but couldn't.
From Oxygen documentation Oxygen_Forensic_Detective_Getting_started.pdf, I found the following "Select the information to be read by Oxygen Forensic® Extractor. Please be informed that the list of available sections depends on the mobile device capabilities".

What "mobile device capabilities" means is unknown, any suggestions?
The tool always jumps to extraction window.

Devices used
iPhone 6s A1688 iOS 10.3.3
iPhone 6s A1688 iOS 10.3.2.
iPhone Jailbreak iOS 9.3
iPhone 4 iOS 7.1

Hello John,

There is no list of devices in Oxygen Forensic Extractor. You can find the list of supported devices in Help/Supported devices menu in Oxygen Forensic Analyst or Oxygen Forensic Detective software.
The availability of extracted sections depends on the device model and selected extraction method.
If you specify your problem or task we can help you further.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I open Oxygen Forensic Extractor and connected iPhone device (see devices used) to the computer and click on device acquisition after the tool recognize the iPhone press Next and next but didn't get to Selection model window (Page 14).

Page 11-14 in your Oxygen_Forensic_Detective_Getting_started.pdf file.

Devices used
iPhone 6s A1688 iOS 10.3.3
iPhone 6s A1688 iOS 10.3.2.
iPhone Jailbreak iOS 9.3
iPhone 4 iOS 7.1

For iOS acquisition you do not need to select a device model. If iOS device is successfully recognized you will be able to extract all the data without specifying the model.

You need to select a device model in Oxygen Forensic Extractor when you use our special physical methods for Samsung, LG or Spreadtrum devices.

If you still have questions you can send us a PM with a screenshot of the Getting Started page that states that you should select iOS model. We will try to sort it out for you.

I don't talk about device selection but content selection.
I refer you the Oxygen document "Oxygen_Forensic_Detective_Getting_started.pdf" page 14

At the moment selective reading is available only for jailbroken iOS devices in Oxygen Forensic Detective v. 9.4 and higher. If you have a non-jailbroken iOS device you will have no selective reading and all the data will be automatically extracted and parsed. We will add this information to our Getting Started guide.
