After a windows update..what would explain a website marked as IE favorite to get moved to recycle bin by itself?
Win 8.1

Oh one other question please. Video has lnk file that says it was 'target file last modified" 11/XX/XXXX but the create date is months before in July… Does this mean the file was downloaded in July and somehow was modified in Nov…OR downloaded in Nov and the date created is just metadata that came with?

all of you that are willing to help answer questions are so appreciated!

None, link deletion (mark as deleted) would do that.

If there was a chkdsk ongoing, which detected from MTF corruption the link as "deleted", this would be the effect of it's "correction".

For dates, please analyze the file itself, not some link (with corrupt dates) linking to it!

Get back with feedback, maybe we learn something about another nice W8.1 feature )

Create a timeline of system activity and see what occurred "near" the event.

This might help understand the various fields of the format
