· Provide cyber forensics support by identifying, collecting, and seizing documentation and/or physical evidence (i.e. digital media and logs associated with cyber intrusion incidents, investigations, and operations).
· Preserve cyber forensics evidence (i.e. maintaining a chain-of-custody, forensic imaging and validation, and data handling) in order to ensure data integrity for examination.
· Examine volatile evidentiary data using industry standard cyber forensics analysis tools and methodologies in order to provide a detailed report.
· Collaborate with cyber forensic-specific incident response and handling team(s) to rapidly collect volatile and non-volatile data from remote sites.

NO-04: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Attention to Detail: Takes through, conscientious approach to work performed; Customer Service: Identifies a client or customer need and provides a quality product or service. Oral Communication: Expresses information via oral presentation; and Problem Solving: Identifies problem, ascertains root cause and impact, and provides recommendations for resolution. Specialized experience for this position involves: providing cyber forensics support in the areas of incident handling and response, cyber forensics investigations, and data recovery.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

NO-05: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Attention to Detail: Takes through, conscientious approach to work performed; Customer Service: Identifies a client or customer need and provides a quality product or service. Specialized experience for this position involves: providing expertise and oversight of digital/cyber forensics investigations, physical and logical data recovery, and incident handling and response teams.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. Applicants should meet the DAWIA Certification requirements for the Information Technology Career Field and be certified at Level I at the time of application. REQUIREMENTS:
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

A Top Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. If you possess a security clearance, please indicate the level and termination date in your resume.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Must maintain 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLP) for every 2 year CLP period.

Position includes 25-40 hours per week performing Information Assurance (IA) duties. Within 6 months, employee shall obtain and maintain the proper IA certification for this information assurance position as required in the DoD 8570-01M. Certified IA personnel performing IA functions whose certification lapses shall have their access to DoD information systems either downgraded to a level appropriate to their certification status or denied access to DoD information systems.

Travel Nights per month: 1-5, including Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
