Due to ongoing expansion, we are now seeking a Forensic Data Consultant to act as the sole technical expert in the Netherlands. The role will form part of the European Digital Evidence Services team and be supported by a network of forensic consultants throughout Europe. This role will report into a London-based manager.

Kroll Ontrack is an industry leader in E-Discovery. Working alongside internal and external clients in a consulting and advisory capacity, you will play a key role in the collection, preparation and investigation of data for the E-Discovery phase. There is also a requirement to be able to carry out full forensic analysis (from collection through to analysis and reporting) using tools like EnCase or NUIX. The incumbent will also provide technical advice to European Business Development teams. This will involve joint consultancy in the scoping phase of projects, and participating in client presentations to develop new business opportunities. This is a new role and an excellent opportunity for the role holder to be instrumental in locally supporting our E-Discovery and forensic analysis reach into the Netherlands.

• Gather requirements from key stakeholders and work with the project team to provide a suitable data collection plan.
• Work in close collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams to facilitate forensic data collection, preparation and reporting integration.
• Provide technical support throughout the E-Discovery process on any data issues.
• As required, provide full forensic analysis of data for non E-Discovery work.
• Work collaboratively with clients to help them understand their data.
• Communicate regularly with external parties to include lawyers, auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Work with internal project teams and provide support to forensic teams throughout Europe.
• Identify potential new collection and analytical opportunities.

• Good academic background.
• A proven track record in corporate digital forensics, in both collections and data processing.
• Experience of using EnCase or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of networks and email solutions.
• Expert level of NUIX understanding is desirable.
• Highly IT literate.
• Adaptable and capable of building strong business relationships. Experience of working with business stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident, articulate and professional.
• Proven ability to explain complex commercial, data and analytical issues in non-technical language.
• Highly developed listening skills; can clearly understand client needs and develop credible business value propositions.
• Excellent written ability; produces high quality reports and business correspondence.
• A positive self-starter attitude, determination to succeed and commitment to teamwork are essential.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Willingness to travel (often at short notice).
• Fluent Dutch and English essential.
