OK, maybe I'm being dumb, but can anybody simply explain what 'Instant Messages' is supposed to be in Physical Analyser?

I have a physical image of a Samsung device that has recovered Twitter and Instant Messages. The Twitter looks like Twitter, but we are not sure what the instant messages is? Are they DM's? Are they ReTweets? Can anybody shed a little light?

(By the way, non of it is English, so its hard to get context of the 'message' that is being displayed.

Thanks.

Instant messages are communications outside of SMS text messages. You'll find third party application conversations here. Snapchat, Twitter DMs, oovoo, iMessages, Facebook messenger and more can be found here.

What you're seeing is most likely Twtter direct messages. I would throw it into google translate for context.

Thanks.

We've had a rough translation and they are relevant, but because they are all one way, its hard to put them in context to see if they our users phone or received from the other as its all one user. Its a minefield! 😯
