Cellular Analyst - USA

Location - USA

The person selected for this position can be located anywhere in the USA.


Performing analysis of various types of phone records in civil and criminal cases:

Analysis of Call Detail Records and production of reports.
Analysis of RTT, PCMD, NELOS, E911 and other records to assist attorneys in understanding the data as it relates to specific cases.
Producing high quality, clear and accurate reports and/or statements
Qualify and testify as an expert witness in US state and federal courts.
Examining prosecution and or defense expert reports and providing consulting to attorneys as to their accuracy, meaning and relevancy.
Interfacing with various cellular company’s law enforcement compliance groups.
Assisting in the development of direct and cross examination questions for opposing experts.
Providing training and speaking on the topic of cellular analysis to attorneys and investigators.

Preferred Experience

Able to demonstrate expertise in mobile phone network operation including the CDMA and GSM networks.
Analysis of data sets of call detail and other records.
The ability to present findings in laymen’s terms both in writing and orally.
Knowledge of different call detail records provided by carriers in the US and abroad.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Advanced skills in preparing maps using various mapping applications such as Google Earth Professional.
Knowledge of radio propagation/planning methodologies and drive testing methods.
Prior experience as an expert witness including qualified court testimony.
Prior employment with a wireless carrier as an RF engineer or project management.
Prior employment in law enforcement.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired but not required.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work independently with limited supervision to meet deadlines and targets.
Highly motivated to learn new skills, enhance technical knowledge and learn from experienced experts.
Work with clients directly to provide time estimates for cases.
Production and presentation of reports and statements with a sound basis to comply with the rules governing expert witness testimony in US state and federal courts.


We are looking to place Cellular Analysts in multiple regions of the USA: West, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Midwest. Relocation is not required or desired in most cases.

Travel to various locations throughout the USA is required to attend court proceedings.
