Hi all

Has anyone benchmarked what read/write speeds you would get using FTK Imager/Encase Forensic to image a SATA hard disk drive connected via a Thunderbolt 3 port?
Scenarios
Scenario 1 - Source drive - connected via USB 3.0 and Destination drive - connected via Thunderbolt 3
Scenario 2 - Source drive - connected via Thunderbolt 3 and Destination drive connected via USB 3.0
Scenario 3 - Source drive - connected via Thunderbolt 3 port and Destination drive connected via Thunderbolt 3 port

Is there any significant difference in the acquisition speeds? I would like to determine if its actually worth purchasing a laptop with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports for this purpose.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks
