Sr. Training Instructor, Digital Forensics (Baltimore, MD)

AccessData has an immediate opening on our training team for a Sr. Training Instructor of Digital Forensics. This is an opportunity to expand your experience in multiple security fields as part of a stable, smaller company that is big on collaboration. You will work onsite at the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA), dividing your time between direct classroom teaching and curriculum development. Our success depends on staying current on emerging trends and threats in cybersecurity, so you will keep your knowledge fresh. We are one of several contractors at the DCITA, so you will be able to share insights with other training professionals. Success in this role could set you up to pursue other opportunities in the training organization or other areas of the company.

Nowhere is cybersecurity more important than at the Department of Defense. You will train DoD staff to leverage our tools in diverse areas to promote national security and protect freedom and democracy.

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, candidates must be a US citizen and should possess the following skills:

*Experience with BOTH technical instruction and technical course development.
*Strong platform teaching skills.
*Experience with automated software and data recovery.
*Knowledge of underlying technologies and hardware: DOS, FAT file system, NT file system, HFS (Mac OS), EXT (2/3) file systems, hard disk geometry and partition structure.
*Experience with encryption technologies such as symmetric and asymmetric key encryption, hash algorithms and cipher generation, key space and dictionary attack methods, Microsoft *Encrypting File System (EFS) technology.
*Experience with Windows operating systems such as date and time bias, registry and recycle bin functionality.
*Strong analytical skills.
*Solid writing and documentation abilities.
*Secret level security clearance, or the ability to obtain it within a short time of hire; you also will need to be able to obtain top secret/SCI clearance in the future.
*A four-year degree is preferred.

Law enforcement, military or civil service experience is a plus. Additional language fluency would be helpful. You also will need to be willing and able to travel domestically 15 to 20% of the time. In the future you may also travel internationally.

This position is based in Baltimore, MD. Relocation assistance may be available to highly qualified candidates.
